Strategic Finance & M&A Analyst Role Overview This dual-role position supports Strategic Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) initiatives. The role is dynamic, with responsibilities shifting based on business needs-typically a 70/30 split between data analytics and M&A activities. This means there may be periods where analytics take precedence, with minimal M&A work, or vice versa. However, the overall focus will lean more toward financial analytics. Key Responsibilities Assist with the financial modeling, presentations, and due diligence for evaluating acquisition opportunities. Support the closing, post-closing, and integration processes of acquisitions. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by senior leadership and Nautic Partners. Analyze price/volume/cost trends to identify opportunities for profitability improvements. Build and maintain performance trackers for key business metrics, such as: Salesforce productivity Product management revenue growth initiatives Safety metrics Backlog and bookings Pipeline tracking Inventory levels Working capital and operating expenses Provide strategic insights through financial and operational data analysis, helping drive business growth and efficiency. Support annual budgeting, financial modeling, and forecasting processes. Assist in the preparation of quarterly Board presentations and other financial reports. Develop and present financial results to senior management, the Board of Directors, and our private equity sponsor, Nautic Partners. Candidate Profile 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate development, transaction advisory services, investment banking, or private equity. Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability. A "roll up the sleeves" attitude, willing to revisit and refine work as needed. Ability to balance technical accuracy with sound business judgment. Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modeling and data visualization is a plus. Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment within a fast-paced, high-growth company. Experience in distribution, multi-site, or branch-based businesses is a plus but not required. CPA certification is a plus but not required. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $90,000- $115,000 Target Bonus: 20% of base salary Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
