Our client, a well-established, multigenerational firm, based in Banking and Finance, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Lending Partner for their Commercial Real Estate Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have ten or more (10+) years' experience in a peer or Big Law firm. The Partner will be integral to the group's succession planning. and should be comfortable in managing workflow within the team, Candidates with a superior focus on representation of financial institutions making complex syndicated and bilateral construction and term loan facilities for a variety of commercial real estate projects, will be favored. The firm represents banks and other major financial institutions throughout the United States.The firm prefers a Partner with an established book of business in the mid-to-high six figure range, but it is not the only measurement for potential success in this role. The successful candidate would eventually have a major role in maintaining, developing and expanding a significant book of business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the documentation and regulatory issues involved in representing lead banks in complex loan transactions.Experience in one or more of the following areas is required :Representing financial institutions making complex commercial loans (including construction loans and term debt, that are secured by a range of commercial real property types.-Knowledge of affordable housing transaction experience is a plus. (i.e., transactions involving deals financed with HDC and HFA bonds and IRC Section 42 tax credit equity)The ability to prioritize and work well under pressure, a professional demeanor, excellent judgement, and superior written and verbal communication skills are all required. Compensation includes salary ($350K-$450K), bonus and robust benefits package. Partner must be well-organized, diligent, and detail oriented. Highly motivated individuals with substantial growth potential should have a strong academic background and a minimum of ten years of commercial real estate lending experience. JD required.
