We are seeking a dedicated Cook/Prep Cook/Assistant Cook to join our team. This position will assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen, ensuring excellent quality and presentation. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our customer base through fantastic food and absolutely terrific customer service.DutiesPrepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.Assist in cooking and preparing various menu items.Follow recipes and presentation specifications.Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and qualitySet up and stock stations with all necessary suppliesCook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staffOperate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain a sanitized, clean and organized kitchen area.Promptly report safety, equipment and food quality problems to Restaurant Management.Use and ensure staff is using all daily, weekly, monthly checklists.Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.RequirementsPrior experience in the food service or food industry neededKnowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling procedures.Ability to work well in a team environment.Basic understanding of cooking methods and techniques.Strong communication skills.Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Tips availableMust be over 18Must have transportation to and from work.
