Position Overview:The Associate Fashion Designer will play a key role in assisting the design team with the development of seasonal collections, trend research, and technical execution. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the fashion industry, is highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, and possesses a keen eye for detail and trends. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the design and development of seasonal collections across woven and knit categories.Research fashion trends, fabric innovations, and market shifts to support design direction.Create technical sketches, CADs, and presentation boards using Adobe Creative SuiteCreating Tech Packs and managing BOM within PLM program.Collaborate with merchandising, production, and sales teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives.Assist in preparing and presenting design concepts for internal meetings and client appointments.Support fabric and trim selection, ensuring alignment with creative vision and cost requirements.Maintain organized design files, color standards, and tech packs.Make design comments on submits, lab dips and strike offs.Maintain daily communications with factory merchandisers regarding new development and approvals.Contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced team environment while demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.Qualifications & Skills:Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in fashion design, specializing in woven and knit garments.Market Knowledge: Understanding of the off-price market and its impact on design and production.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and experience working with PLM; knowledge of 3D design software is a plus.Creative Vision: A keen eye for trends, color, and fabric innovation.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present effectively in meetings.
