We are seeking a Content Manager & Producer to help craft compelling episodes from start to finish, elevate video content, and develop innovative ideas for expanding our reach.Role OverviewAs the Content Manager & Producer, you will be responsible for developing, producing, and enhancing true crime content across multiple platforms. You'll source cases, refine scripts, and enhance videos with additional media elements. Beyond content creation, you'll bring a producer's mindset, pitching fresh ideas, developing creative storytelling approaches, and exploring potential collaborations with streaming platforms.This position requires a creative storyteller, a detail-oriented video editor, and a strategic thinker who can drive audience engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesCase Sourcing & Story Development•Oversee case sourcing and have a distinct point of view for cases pitched for coverage. •Edit and approve scripts, ensuring high editorial standards.•Host monthly meetings with writers to brainstorm compelling storytelling angles and track progress.•Screenwriting experience a plus; help craft compelling narratives with a cinematic touch.•Provide thoughtful pitches for potential partnerships with streaming platforms and media networks.Video & Podcast Production•Collaborate with video editors to review, edit, and enhance video drafts.•Use personal video editing skills to independently improve content. Adding B-roll, photos, music, and other engaging elements.•Provide constructive feedback on video structure, pacing, and storytelling techniques.•Ensure SEO-optimized episode copy. Creative Strategy & Content Innovation•Bring fresh, innovative ideas for show segments, visual storytelling, and audience engagement.•Pitch ideas for special series, investigative deep dives, or live event coverage.•Identify new opportunities for growth across platforms, from streaming networks to social collaborations.Graphic Design & Social Media•Work closely with company graphic designers on episode artwork and promotional graphics.•Ensure all visual content aligns with the brand's identity and storytelling tone.Who You Are•A true crime consumer with a passion for storytelling.•Experienced in video editing, with skills in enhancing video content (B-roll, music, graphics).•A creative producer who can pitch and develop compelling story angles.•Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.•Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.•A problem solver who takes initiative and works independently.Requirements•3+ years of experience in content production, video editing, or digital media.•Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.•Experience in scriptwriting, screenwriting, or creative writing (preferred).•Familiarity with YouTube and podcast best practices for audience engagement.Work Schedule & Perks•Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote •401K matching after 1 year, paid holidays, and vacation benefits.How to ApplyIf you're passionate about true crime, content production, and digital storytelling, we want to hear from you!
