Banking and Finance Attorney - 4 years of Asset Based ...

Join our client's thriving Financial Services Practice Group, as they are seeking an Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience in asset-based lending or leveraged finance, as part of a Big Law or busy peer firm, representing large financial institutions, banks, private equity firms, and other institutional lenders.The successful Associate candidate will have the opportunity to handle a variety of challenging legal issues related to financing, credit, and lending structures. Some key responsibilities:Draft, negotiate, and review loan agreements, credit facilities, security agreements, and other financing documents in asset-based lending and leveraged finance transactions.Provide legal counsel to clients regarding structuring, documentation, and negotiating complex financing transactions, including revolving credit facilities, term loans, and secured and unsecured credit facilities.Assist in due diligence and risk analysis related to financing transactions, including reviewing corporate structures, collateral, and other assets.Collaborate with senior attorneys on the development of financing strategies and deal structuring.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution of transactions.Strong understanding of finance, loan documentation, and commercial lending structures, including familiarity with credit facilities, security interests, and collateral management required. JD required, must be barred in NY. Experience in asset-based lending, leveraged finance, or a related practice area in a large or midsized law firm. Compensation includes salary ($225K-$275K) , bonus and comprehensive benefits package.Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills required.
