Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking an Editor to work for our client in the tech industry. Apply now for consideration!Contract: 12 MonthsLocation: Seattle, WA (HYBRID)Pay Range: $38-42/hr dependingResponsibilities:Edit, enable, and publish process documentation (SOPs) for internal support teams.Work within a content management system (CMS) to stage and publish SOPs.Collaborate with Content Management Specialists to understand SOP drafts and transform them into the required coded format.Copy edit documents to ensure accuracy, grammar, and consistency.Maintain and update existing SOPs rather than creating new content.Manage content staging across multiple marketplaces and languages.Ensure content quality and usefulness before publication.Seek clarity in ambiguous situations to improve documentation accuracy.Work with Content Specialists to resolve content issues before publishing.Utilize OxygenXML editor to update and format documentation.Expand and update content for new stores, including changes in locations, dates, and store conditions.Add and update links within SOPs.Prioritize and manage a queue of tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.Adapt to shifting priorities and production responsibilities.Work independently while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.Support a public launch of SOPs in Q1 and Q2 2026 across three projects in different countries.Oversee milestone-based content updates, with key deadlines in July 2025, October 2025, and January 2026.Ensure SOPs are first published in English and then translated into other languages.Requirements:Bachelor's degree - preferred2-4 years in a editor or lead writing roleProven ability to work with developers and write for a developer audienceExperience with XML-based publishing systems required.Some experience with web services and related technologies a plusPreferred skills:Efficiency in communication and organization is extremely important.Knowledge of DITA XML coding language, HTML and OxygenXML Author is a plus.Russell Tobin / Pride Global offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), a 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, identity theft protection, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with some preferred vendors.
