Packaging Designer

Akkodis is seeking a Packaging/Labeling Designer for a Contract with a client located in Des Plaines, IL (onsite), and ideally strong hands-on Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Medical Devices, Change Orders (COs), Change Requests (CRs) and proofreading.Rate Range: $42-45/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.) Core Job Responsibilities: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures:Designs artwork for product labeling (e.g., defines format/graphic requirements) by using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of applications (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Photoshop from input provided by Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Engineering and other departments.Recommends and contributes ideas of packaging and labeling strategies to project leaders by utilizing package labeling knowledge gained from historical data and material characteristics.Procures foreign languages translations by forwarding the English Approved to the translation group.Produces artwork packages for procurement for the Materials and Receiving Inspection Departments by compiling all materials needed to create and inspect the final product.Provides sample labels for filing submissions by printing requested labels.Prepares Change Orders (COs) and Change Requests (CRs) for Labeling initiated changes to obtain approvals.Verifies COs are completed correctly prior to submission to Document Control Archiving.
