Our showroom serves both walk-in clients and trade customers, offering a curated selection of high-end home furnishings and design services. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned interior designer looking to expand their career with the resources and prestige of an established brand.Position Overview:We are seeking an Interior Designer / Showroom Manager who will be based at our Long Island showroom. The ideal candidate is an experienced designer currently working at a firm but aspiring to build a larger book of business without the overhead costs of going solo. This role combines design expertise with showroom management and business development, offering a base salary plus a 3% commission on all sales and benchmark bonuses.This position is perfect for someone who excels in sales, has a passion for luxury design, and thrives in a client-facing environment. You will have the opportunity to convert walk-in clients into design projects and manage relationships with trade clients, earning commissions on both.Key Responsibilities:Interior Design Sales:Convert walk-in clients into small to large-scale interior design projects.Actively seek out clients and build your own portfolio of clients.Provide personalized design consultations in the showroom and at clients homes.Utilize exceptional sales skills to close sales and drive revenue.Showroom Management:Oversee daily operations of the Long Island showroom.Maintain showroom aesthetics, manage inventory, and ensure accurate pricing.Coordinate with vendors and manage orders and deliveries.Physical ability to lift objects up to 50lbs.Trade Client Relations:Develop and maintain relationships with trade clients participating in our trade program.Process trade sales and ensure exceptional service to trade clients.Earn commission on all trade sales.Business Development & Events:Actively seek new clients and build a book of business in the Long Island and NYC areas.Host in-showroom events and workshops for both retail and trade clients.Execute marketing initiatives with an allocated budget to drive traffic to the showroom.Manage social media and advertising platforms for the showroom and brand.Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 5 years of interior design experience, preferably with luxury residential projects.Education: Degree in Interior Design or a related field.Skills:Proven sales and business development skills.Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.Strong understanding of luxury design trends and products.Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) is a plus.Availability: Full-time, with occasional evenings or weekends for events.
