Color Assistant

Modern Post is a bi-coastal Post Production studio with offices in New York and Los Angeles. We are looking for a Color Assistant in our NY office. This is an on-site position. Ideal Candidates will have 1 + experience in post production facility and be familiar with finishing and delivery.Responsibilities include:Work closely with Senior Colorists and VFX during the grading process, helping with adjustments and preparation of files for needed sessionsOrganize, ingest, and maintain all video files to ensure proper workflow and smooth transitions between editing and color gradingLoad in EDL, copying the source files and conforming all required materialTransfer and export graded material onto hard drives and back to project for finishingConduct color correction on additional shots and handlesSkills and Experience1+ years of proven experience as a Color Assistant or similar role in the media or entertainment industryBachelor's degree in Film, media, Visual Arts, or a related field, a plusStrong understanding of post-production processes, including editing, sound design, VFX and color gradingProficient in post-production software such as Adobe Premier Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and othersStrong understanding of video formats, codecs, LUTs, color theory, and calibration techniquesExcellent organization, communication and project management skillsDetail-oriented with a focus on qualityAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentPlease send resumes to brian.corey@
