Director of Training/Welding

I am looking for a Director of Training over the Welding Program at a great college in Phoenix AZ. You must have experience in a formal educational setting teaching, training, or overseeing a Welding Program. YOU MUST BE A WELDER WITH AT LEAST 7 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. Oversee curriculum in the classroom as well as in the lab, where applicableResponsible for hiring full and part time instructors and coordinate their trainingResponsible for ongoing instructor evaluations, implementation of instructional changes due to evaluations and address any concerns that may arise because of student critiquesHelp coordinate mandatory continuing education in-services for the instructional staffConduct periodical instructor meetings and plan the content.Responsible for instructor scheduling, vacation and sick time usage, phase assignments, shift assignments and student assignments as well as monitor the classroom days.Carries out supervisory responsibilities which include the following: planning, assigning, and directing work of subordinates; appraising their performances; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Actively coordinate office activities with the Campus President, specifically concerns in licensing or accreditationCoordinate suggestions, improvements or other ideas that may be provided by staff or studentsComplete weekly and/or monthly reports as directedResponsible for ordering of classroom suppliesOther duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree or 7+ plus years relevant experienceMinimum of five years Welding Field ExperienceDemonstrated leadership skills; ability to work individually and within a groupStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and communication skillsEstablished customer service backgroundComputer proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) requiredCandidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal history check and drug test.
