Regulatory Compliance officer

Responsibilities:Develop and maintain an effective compliance management system to align with federal and state regulations.Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance-related challenges and emerging issues.Draft and refine compliance policies and procedures to ensure operational accuracy.Collaborate with internal teams to enhance regulatory awareness and mitigate compliance risks.Perform audits and quality assurance reviews to maintain a high standard of compliance.Investigate compliance concerns stemming from internal reviews, complaints, or audit findings, recommending corrective actions.Review and approve marketing materials, advertisements, and digital content for regulatory adherence.Support management by preparing compliance reports and updating leadership on regulatory developments.Assist in delivering targeted training programs on key compliance topics.Work closely with examiners and auditors during compliance reviews and regulatory assessments.Research and analyze new regulations, providing guidance on necessary policy updates.Qualifications:Strong understanding of banking operations, including commercial lending and risk management.Knowledge of regulatory compliance in areas such as BSA/AML, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, and consumer protection laws.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.Experience with compliance monitoring systems and generating reports from compliance data.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.(Optional) Familiarity with foreign languages applicable to client interactions.(Optional) Experience with data automation, analytics, or AI tools for compliance monitoring.
