Key ResponsibilitiesRole is 50% Syndicate / 50% Sales. Primary responsibility is to support the Project Finance North America franchise in the origination, pricing, structuring, investor development, distribution (primary and secondary), closing, and execution of syndicated project finance transactions. Secondary responsibility is to support other ERA Distribution sectors (i.e. Aviation, Rail, Shipping, Intermodal and Real Estate).SyndicateAssist senior distributor/s in loan syndication/distribution in both primary and secondary markets (as needed), as well as various distribution tools, including but not limited to, CRI and synthetic securitization. Provide support in implementing the Bank's asset rotation strategy.Work with other team members, including credit, legal, relationship managers, middle office, operations, and senior management (both locally and overseas) to ensure the timely and accurate information gathering and analysis Assist in preparing DAR Opinions, Market Read/Commentary, liquidity analysis, and other internal documents for credit approvals. Assist in preparing offers, client pitches, market updates, term sheets, Information Memorandum, and other marketing/sales materials for lead transactions, and presentations for bank meetings / road shows, posting marketing materials as needed, working closely with all ERA metiers.Participate in the drafting, negotiation, and execution of legal term sheets, commitment documents, and credit documents in liaison with external and internal legal counsels.Develop and maintain databases, including recent loan comparables, investors, etc. Primary point person to maintain these databases and updating Diamond for transaction updates. Prepare post-closing documents including, but not limited to, fee memos and closing memos. Submit league table credit to third-party providers and confirm that appropriate credit was received by CACIB.Provide any other support and assistance as requested by the team. SalesCoordinate with Loan Syndicate and SLT to maintain and develop relationships with banks and institutional investors to drive loan sales in both primary and secondary markets, in addition to frequent investor coverage followed by detailed Call Reports. Assist senior distributors in conducting sales calls and communicating with prospective investors as part of the distribution process. Coordinate with the Loan Syndicate, Secondary Loan Sales and Trading ("SLT"), and Metier to facilitate loan trading and portfolio sales / purchase opportunities in the secondary market;Liaise with the Asset Rotation Optimization ("ARO") Team on any existing or new production where secondary sell down is required;Assists DAR teams with secondary sell down strategies for overhold positions;Provide regular feedback on market trends and liquidity to assist in pricing of loans;Review legal documentation in respect of transferability and confidentiality provisions.Key RequirementsBA/BS degree (Finance Degree); MBA is a plus1+ years of relevant experience in banking preferable including Project Finance, debt capital markets, aviation/rail a plus; familiarity with loan documentation a plusStrong interpersonal and communications skills, "sales" personality, and ability to multi-taskTeam player, flexible with strong work ethosFamiliarity with banking and capital markets a plusStrong analytical skills and presentation skillsSome accounting/finance/economics courseworkCompetencies RequiredPerforms tasks quickly and accurately in short time frames under pressureSelf-starter who thinks ahead proactively and does so strategicallyMeticulous attention to detail and rigorous accuracyCapable of juggling multiple tasks simultaneouslyHighly motivated and able to focus on problem solving in challenging situationsIndependently follows up on outstanding tasks until they are completedCreative mind-set with the ability to think out of the boxSkills & Knowledge RequiredProficiency in English (verbal and written)Good Financial & Accounting KnowledgeStrong verbal, quantitative analytical, and communication skills (English)Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointGood Interpersonal SkillsTeam Player, Team OrientedAbility to react quickly and use own initiativeProficiency in Debt Domain, Diamond, and Bloomberg a plusKey Internal ContactsDAR / DAR CRI/ DAR COOEIG and other ERA Group metiers (RMs / Front Office)RPC/Credit RiskDebt Capital MarketsFIG / Corporate CoverageFCSKey External ContactsBanks, Institutional Investors, Borrowers
