Buyer/Expeditor

Ken's Foods, a manufacturer of dressings and sauces, is seeking a Buyer/Expeditor to support our facility in Marlborough, Massachusetts. This is an onsite position. The Buyer will work closely with our vendors and suppliers to ensure that all raw materials get to our facilities on time and where they need to be. Ken's is a dynamic, growing, stable company, with 3 additional manufacturing facilities located in McDonough, GA, Lebanon, IN, and Las Vegas, NV. If you are looking for a new challenge with a growing company, then Ken's could be the right place for you!Some of the duties and responsibilities include:Responsible for replenishment of materials, building trucks from various supplier locations, while monitoring lead times, order quantities, storage requirements, and shelf life (as applicable)Determine appropriate order quantities to balance demand and financial resources (i.e. available warehouse footprint)Manage and oversee reverse logistics with cross-functional business partners in the event of a material issueEnsure that volume, pricing, delivery terms and conditions are followed, including accurate freight costsBe adept at crisis management and have excellent multi-tasking skills when issues arise involving any materials used in productionInitiate and facilitate Supplier Business reviews to drive improvement and manage SuppliersProvide input into the strategic sourcing process (including document collection, regulatory, sample review, financial audit, etc.) and make recommendations, partnering with the Sourcing teamInterface with cross-functional Business Partners to drive value across the Supply ChainREQUIREMENTSFour-year degree in related field preferredAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingAbility to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and changing environmentAbility to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business partners, with a focus on Plant PersonnelProficiency in managing supplier performance and being capable of driving continuous improvement with existing suppliers and Ken's Foods' PlantsAbility to effectively mentor/coach Buyers and Purchasing Coordinators within Ken's FoodsAbility to work 100% on site in Marlborough, MAFood industry purchasing experience a plusSyspro or other ERP experience a plusEmployment with Ken's Foods is contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, background screening, and pre-employment assessment.
