We're a small, but mighty agency who works on projects throughout the country with media, sports & luxury brands.Description of PositionWe are looking for an Associate Creative Director with a background in experiential design to join our team and creatively lead a variety of small to mid-size consumer events. The right candidate likes to do it all: ideate, design, pitch and mentor. This position is not for UX designers, copywriters or digital creators and experiential marketing experience is required.Day to Day ResponsibilitiesOversee the creative process for small to mid-size projects, with a focus on HudsonGray and client's brand standards.Develop and lead experiential ideas that are on brand, on budget and reflect current industry trends.Take direction from the creative leadership team on creative development and adjust ideas accordingly.Create new business pitch decks and deliver persuasive presentations of creative concepts and scaled deliverables; maintain client relationships accordingly throughout project.Manage the creative execution of projects, working closely with set shops and vendors (along with production) to ensure the timely delivery within scope and budget constraints.Oversee and manage recruitment and supervision of new staff and freelance support staff.Participate in event installations to ensure quality and timely execution.Requirements6+ years of experience in a creative role.Proven experience in a creative leadership role, with a focus on experiential marketingBackground in proven 2D and 3D design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup. Understanding of 3D rendering programs is required, though mastery is not.Strong portfolio of past work.Ability to provide overarching creative direction, concepts, and design with technical execution capabilities within targeted scope, scale, and schedule.Comfort and ability to work on multiple projects at once under tight deadlines; staying calm under pressure and maintaining a positive attitude is a must.Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills in pre pro and onsite. Strong interpersonal skills: this is a service-industry position and making the clients happy is the top priority.Strong attention to detail and meticulous file organization is essential. Strong familiarity with building materials and the scenic fabrication process; ability to generate construction drawings.Ability to take direction from leadership yet maintain intuition.Team player: we are a small, cohesive team without egos and with strong work ethics.Creative input on trends, technologies and vendors that can be incorporated into events.Experience in visual styling and interior design is a plus.This position is based in NYC and is hybrid remote/office.
