BCForward is currently seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Planner for an opportunity in Redmond, WAJob Title: Supply Chain PlannerLocation: Redmond WA (100 % Onsite)Duration: 6+ months contractTypical Day in the Role: (Local to WA preferred) • Identify feasibility of a capacity plan and trigger execution with operations team - including elements like space, power, networking, and SKU availability • Interface with supply chain, Data Center space management, hardware supply management, deployment PM's, SKU team, networking to manage and reconcile all issues related to projects • Drive root cause and corrective actions to close out process, training or tools arising from the escalations • Generate and manage metrics and reporting related to planning accuracy and jitter, supply changes and supply-demand gaps • Load execution plan into operations system of record (MDM) • Generate and publish forecasts for downstream teamsCandidate Requirements: • Years of Experience Required: 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.Experience/Qualifications: • Experience in supply chain planning or transaction management, preferably with cloud infrastructure or computer hardware • Understanding and application of key inventory management concepts (Supply Commit, Clear to Build, Open to Buy, WOS, turns) • Exceptional Excel skills managing large amounts of data • Build pivot tables • Pull data from SQL data sources • PowerBI experienceTop 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience Minimum 5 years' experience with Power BI, SQL Minimum 5 years' experience with Exceptional Excel skills managing large amounts of data/ building pivot tables Minimum 5 years' experience with Understanding and application of key inventory management concepts (Supply Commit, Clear to Build, Open to Buy, WOS, turns)Summary: The main function of a Supply Chain Planner is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical Supply Chain Planner is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.Job Responsibilities: • Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications. • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities. • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures. • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands. • Revise production schedule, when required, due to design changes, labor or material shortages or other interruptions. • Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.Skills: • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills. • Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials. • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production. • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.Education/Experience: • High school diploma or GED required. • 5-7 years related experience required.Benefits:BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.About BCforwardFounded in 1998 on the idea that industry leaders needed a professional service, and workforce management expert, to fuel the development and execution of core business and technology strategies, BCforward is a Black-owned firm providing unique solutions supporting value capture and digital product delivery needs for organizations around the world.
