Procurement Lead / Senior Buyer for parts distribution

GNR has been retained by a 50 yr old parts distribution organization in need of anOn-sitePROCUREMENT LEADER for their Los Angeles division.This aggressively growing distribution organization provides Raw Materials, Electronics, Chemicals & Hardware parts to the aviation & defense sector across the globe.We're looking for an experienced & ambitious Buyer / Procurement leader looking for a dynamic, fast-paced environment and great people.Reporting to the VP Operations, you would lead, grow and mentor a small team of buyers for this siteAnalyze all Procurement & Buying data to optimize output, margins and growthBuild out inventory / stock-on-hand & update all processes and proceduresForecast demand planning and procurement strategies to ensure all materials are available to complete customer ordersEvaluate and manage 500+ supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, analyze & develop cost cutting strategiesEXPERIENCE REQUIRED"HANDS-ON" experience managing PROCUREMENT efforts for 1000's of SKU's & the ability to conducting data analysis (spend, inventory, processes, costs ..etc) Strong Excel experienceable to create formulas and pivot tables to accurately analyze data & calculate growth marginsAble to manage 500+ suppliers, supplier selection strategies and contract negotiationsStrong leadership and team building / mentoring experienceLimited travel to supplier sites, as neededUS CITIZENSHIP requiredOFFERING: Base Salary + Bonus + Relocation assistance (NO REMOTE / HYBRID option
