Maintenance Technician / Mechanic (Greater Indianapolis, IN)An FDA processing & packaging facility is growing and needs more talented Technicians/Mechanics to join the team on a direct hire basis. As a team member, Technicians/Mechanics maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-volume food manufacturing equipment, prioritizing personnel and food safety always. An entrepreneurial spirit and out-of-box thinker is needed, to share new ideas & solutions.ResponsibilitiesRespond & react to mechanical issues in the production environment in a timely & efficiently.Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned.Read electrical schematics & mechanical diagrams.Write parts requests, complete work orders, & write corrective work ordersFollow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Perform building inspections & routinesCommunicate with other team membersPerform Lock-Out-Tag-Out when necessaryRequirementsMinimum 4 years work experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role within manufacturing (welding, machining, plumbing, pipefitting, electricity.Must have strong mechanical & troubleshooting skills in AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, photo-eyes, sensors, etc. plus experience on conveyance systems.Familiarity with CMMS work order systemsExperience working within an FDA-regulated setting is requiredMust have good attention to detail & be able to understand verbal & written instructions in EnglishExperience reading blueprints & drawings is a necessityMust be able to work independently with minimum supervisionMust be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor liftsMust be able to work around very strong magnetsCompensation, Shift, & Benefits:A degree is not necessary as Leadership believes in Home Grown Talent, accelerated career growth with leadership training, unleashing one's potentialNights 6:00pm-6:00am (48-hour weeks) on a Continental Shift w/a twist$30.25 or $34.75 plus $1.00 shift differential for Level 1 and Level 2 TechniciansCompetitive compensation, health & welfare benefits including vision & dental401k matching programTuition reimbursementCONTACTJenny Sochocki at 317-678-0120 or jennifer@
