The Head of GBO Financing Operations (FinOps) Americas is a pivotal leadership role reporting directly to the Head of Banking Operations (Americas) and working closely with the Global Head of Financing Operations (Head Office). This position is responsible for overseeing all operational support for the bank's financing business. The Natixis FinOps teams cater to a diverse range of business lines, including Infrastructure, Acquisition, Sponsor Finance, Aviation, Real Estate, Project Management, Financial Institutions, and Credit Markets.The FinOps structure comprises several specialized teams, including:Loan ServicesDeal Management/Middle OfficeResponsible for closing new deals and amendments, as well as monitoring daily client borrowing activities via Loans and Letters of Credit.Loan BookingFocused on the setup and maintenance of facilities in LIQ.Loan TradingAgency ServicingWith Natixis US serving as the admin agent.Each team is led by a manager who reports directly to the Head of FinOps.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic PartnershipCollaborate with business stakeholders to advise on deal structures from an operational perspective, minimizing operational and reputational risks to the bank.Compliance OversightEnsure adherence to established procedures within the group's activities.Control ManagementDrive timely completion and ongoing evolution of 1.1 and 1.2 controls and reporting.Relationship BuildingCultivate strong collaborative relationships with the Financing and Global Trade Front Office, Audit, Compliance, Legal, IT, Credit Department, and other support functions.GovernanceEstablish robust governance over deal covenants, collateral, and insurance.New Product ParticipationActively engage in New Product Committee reviews and coordinate with staff to address support needs and identify prerequisites.Risk MonitoringProactively monitor and seek to mitigate operational risks.Audit ManagementOversee governance related to internal and external audits, ensuring timely provision of required information and implementation of recommendations.Policy DevelopmentMaintain and create policies and procedures to ensure efficient support controls, including regular certifications.Market AwarenessStay updated on economic, regulatory, legal, and competitive issues relevant to financing activities, including Basel 2 Eligibility, RWA, and Credit Risk Monitoring.Technology ImplementationLead the implementation and proposal of innovative technologies to modernize financing operations, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Collaborate closely with IT to optimize processes and controls through technology and automation projects.Supervisory Responsibilities:Strategic PlanningEngage in strategic planning to ensure alignment of the support function with the bank's overall strategic objectives.Performance AnalysisReview Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analyze trends to inform strategic adjustments.Work DelegationEnsure effective delegation of tasks among group and team members, reviewing and reallocating as necessary.Staff DevelopmentSet clear objectives for staff by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising performance. Mentor, train, interview, and hire staff.Performance MonitoringProactively identify efficiency issues and propose actionable solutions.QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of experience in banking or a related field with similar organizational complexity, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline.Proven success in leading teams with global exposure, encompassing technology, change management, and regulatory compliance.Strong experience in managing multiple priorities and overseeing diverse teams with varying strengths.Exceptional skills in talent assessment, selection, and development, providing balanced, direct, and actionable feedback.Results-oriented leader who initiates and designs tactical and strategic solutions through data-driven insights and timely execution.Knowledge of information technology and automation, along with project management skills.Familiarity with systems utilized by the bank, such as Loan IQ, Cash Plus, Calypso, and SWIFT, is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and flowcharting software.Solid understanding of financial statements, with the ability to calculate and interpret financial ratios.Knowledge of banking products, including (syndicated) loans, loan trading, participations, and letters of credit.Join Us!If you are a strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence and innovation in financing, we invite you to apply and become a vital part of our team at Natixis.Natixis is an equal opportunity employer, committed to a workplace free of discrimination. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
