Autoneum is the Global Market Leader in Acoustics and Thermal Management. The Company is a leading Swiss supplier in sustainable acoustic and thermal management solutions for vehicles. It develops and manufactures multifunctional, lightweight components for optimum noise and heat protection. The Company is organized into four business groups by region: Business Group Europe, Business Group North America, Business Group Asia, and Business Group SAMEA (South America, Middle East and Africa). This position will be a full-time onsite position located in our manufacturing facility in Norwalk, Ohio.The duties of the Logistics Manager will be to oversee our inventory and purchasing operations as it relates to our supply chain process. Must possess in-depth knowledge in inventory managements systems and procedures. Duties will include maintain budgets, analyzing materials, researching vendors, and ensuring all customers and departments have adequate access to materials they require. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Mentor and develop Logistics and others as neededPlanning, organizing, and prioritizing work according to production schedules/daily requirementsEnsure clear communication across all shifts/ departments pertaining to customer deliveriesContinuous improvement of inventory levelsCreating, implementing, and auditing Standard Operating Procedures for proper operation of the Logistics DepartmentPlanning, administration of all logistic processes, Warehouse layout and management, Supply Chain management, material flow, including packaging dataProduction planningSupplier schedulesParticipation in improvement process like: Safety, Quality, Productivity, 5SDevelop the logistics planning process using the appropriate IT systems (SAP)Train and mentor team in the use of logistics systems and processesPerform other related duties that may be assigned or associated with the responsibility of the positionMaintain and monitor KPI's.Design and maintain department budgetsPrepare and file detailed records on procurement activity, quantity, and vendors.Oversee and support subordinates and new employees.Collaborate with management to plan forecasting modelsMonitor inventory levels and access to the materialManage the distribution of supplier in the organizationRecord and assess all material quality, movement, and expenditureRecommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantityKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge and implementation of general safe work practicesModels effective attendanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsConceptual/Analytical thinkingProblem AnalysisStrong interpersonal abilities and technical troubleshooting skillsAble and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including variable shifts and work daysSolid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of TS16949 (IATF Standards)Knowledge of ISO 14001 StandardsAbility to critique die design concepts for both production worthiness and ease of maintainabilityAbility to multi-task and prioritize4-year Supply Chain degree or equivalent experience in the Supply ChainProven Managerial experience a plusStrong understanding of supply chain and inventory management systemsAdvanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processesOutstanding communication and leadership skillsAuthorization to work and reside in the United StatesPossess already or have the ability to obtain a passport as this position requires limited, infrequent travel within the United States and abroad
