MAU is hiring a Buyer for our client in Greenville, SC. The Buyer leads the development and execution of purchasing processes within the Materials Management Organization. Purchasing through negotiation, plan development, and execution. As a Buyer you will strategically develop and manage a global supply plan for goods and services to geographically diverse locations, while driving a commercial advantage through achievement of quality, delivery, and cost targets. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and effect short-term and long-term business goals. This is a contract, long-term opportunity.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, Supply Chain OR a high school diploma /GED and with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, materials planning,inventory management or warehouse/distribution centers.Desired Characteristics:• Experience working with modern ERP: SAP platform• Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment• Ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately• Analytical and system proficiency skills• Ability to effectively operate in a matrixed organizational structure• Strong oral and written communication skills• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of managementEssential Responsibilities:• Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders to support the primary schedule.• Collaborate with supply partners and Materials Resource Planner to drive fulfillment activitiesand ensure on-time delivery.• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changesand cancelations.• Keep ERP system up to date and accurate to the current state of supply.• Apply appropriate Sourcing policies and execute sourcing program initiatives for strategicsourcing team, including management of deflation activities and supply chain risk mitigation.• Support initiatives, including lead time reduction, New Product Introduction (NPI), paymentterms and cash flow improvements.• Manage projects in a matrix organization globally.• Act as the primary source of contact for supply partners operational needs.MAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
