Cellular and Functional Assay DevelopmentSummary:Reporting to the Senior Director of Research and Operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cell Biologist to join our Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in in vitro culture of human primary cells and cell lines, particularly those relevant to immunology research. This role requires a proven ability to design, execute, and analyze in vitro assays to investigate molecular pathway modulation, cellular proliferation, survival, and function, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Beyond technical expertise, the candidate will play a key role in driving research forward, collaboratingeffectively with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring projects stay on track to support the company's innovation pipeline. This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities.Responsibilities:Provide scientific and technical expertise to advance and evaluate preclinical drug development of immunotherapeutic candidates.Design, execution, and analysis of in vitro assays including flow cytometry, western blot, ELISAs, live cell imaging, and RT-PCR.Provide scientific insight and maintain effective communication with internal research teams and external collaborators.Participate in daily laboratory maintenance activities including ordering and maintaining stocks of lab reagents.Present results in a multidisciplinary team environment that includes collaborations with top research laboratories and pharmaceutical companies.Qualifications: Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology or other related field with 2-5 years of relevant post-PhD experience in industry.Experience with in vitro culture of human primary cells and established human cell lines.Expertise in multi-parameter flow cytometry, including analysis and intracellular staining, western blot, ELISA, and RT-PCR.A track record of independent scientific achievement and problem solving as demonstrated through publication.Extensive aseptic technique.Other Requirements:Will require working with cells and cell lines of human and/or animal origin100% on site work at corporate headquarters in San Diego, CAThe preceding job description indicates the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
