Freelance Fabric Associate, Knits

We are looking for a Freelance Fabric Associate for a top fashion company in NYC. The Associate will support the Manager of the Knits Fabric R&D in sourcing and developing fabrics that meet aesthetic, cost, quality, and sustainability goals for the brand, while adhering to calendar deadlines. They will also assist in creating and maintaining the fabric resource library to research seasonal inspiration and archive seasonal production fabrics. This role involves supporting all aspects of researching, updating, and executing globally sourced knit fabrics that align with the brand's aesthetic, cost, quality, and calendar requirements.ResponsibilitiesPoint person for email communication on knits Going out on quality specs, FDS, testing callouts.Gathering information and inputting into chartsFollowing up on outstanding developments OrganizationPhysical Fabric library qualitiesFabric Binders and seasonal folders General RM helpFDS updates in PLM Price updates in meetings and in PLM MID creation in PLM HL + s/offChecking in s/off + h/l as they come in via charts for trackingAssisting with getting comments from design to vendors BoardsCounter source boardsAssist with seasonal board creation and organizationRequired Qualifications:Basic Fabric knowledge, Knowledge of knits a plus Attention to detail, organizedMicrosoft Suite 9 Excel, Outlook, Power Point, PLMAdaptive in a fast paced environmentIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
