We are currently seeking Fiber Splicers to join our dynamic South Bend, Indiana Technologies Group. With contracts secured nationwide from internationally renowned companies, your career will thrive in an environment filled with innovation and opportunity!What You'll Do:As a Fiber Splicer, you will play a vital role in our mission to deliver top-notch telecommunications solutions. Your responsibilities will include:Splicing various types and sizes of fiber optic cables, including single mode, multimode, stranded, and ribbon.Analyzing and troubleshooting basic technical issues to ensure seamless operations.Reviewing, interpreting, and working with various maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documents.Performing daily tests, checks, and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment.Conducting optical continuity and conformance testing.Making splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in diverse environments, including buried, underground, aerial, and building locations.Who You Are:The ideal candidate will have:2+ years of experience in fusion splicing fiber optic cable, with skills in splice audit verifications, voice/data/fiber installation and termination, as well as OTDR and power meter testing.A high school diploma or GED equivalency.Strong knowledge of fusion splicing and optical testing equipment, including Alcoa Fujikura, GN Net Test, EXFO, Fitel, and Sumitomo.Proven ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality requirements.The ability to work at elevations (using ladders, poles, lift trucks) and in confined spaces.A valid driver's license that meets company minimum driving standards.What We Offer:We value our employees and offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including:Medical, Dental, and Vision CoverageSupplemental Insurance through Aflac401K PlanCompetitive pay range of $24 - $28 per hourYour Growth Matters:At HNM Systems, we believe in investing in our team.
