Our client, a premier law firm, seeks an attorney to join their Workers' Compensation practice.ScheduleHybrid 3/2Billable Hours - NoneResponsibilities:Conduct legal research and analysis on workers' compensation laws and regulationsPrepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs related to workers'compensation claimsRepresent clients at hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings before the New YorkState Workers' Compensation BoardMaintain communication with clients to provide updates and counsel throughout the claimsprocessDraft and review legal documents, correspondence, and settlement agreementsAttend hearings, mediations, and negotiations to advocate for clients' interestsConduct discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and document requestsAssist in preparing cases for trial, including witness preparation and trial strategyQualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice law in the state of New York2+ years of experience in workers' compensation law
