Special Assistant A busy executive is looking for a Special Assistant to start immediately for an in-person role in Manhattan. Ideal for a person with a can-do attitude and a "no-job-too-small" mentality. The ideal candidate will be able to provide personalized, flexible support.Key Responsibilities: The following is an example of the kinds of tasks the Special Assistant will be responsible for and may be adjusted as needed depending on the client's needs:Provide high-level administrative and personal support to the executive, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of professional and personal matters. Work with other staff, vendors, and contractors as needed on day-to-day activities and/or special projects. Help alleviate workload for the Executive Assistant. This may include managing and scheduling appointments, drafting correspondence, or handling clerical duties such as answering phone calls and emails, preparing and filing documents, setting up conference calls, etc.Booking and managing international and domestic travel arrangements, such as flights, transportation, and accommodations. Troubleshooting as needed.Notetaking during meetings and recordkeeping.Perform personal assistant functions (scheduling, restaurant reservations, running errands or shopping, etc.) Accompany and support the executive at business functions and fundraisers, which may fall during the evenings or on weekends. Help fill in the gap on special projects, which may include program management, researching, writing, or other related tasks for the client's family foundation.The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:At least 2 years of relevantwork experience, preferably in administration, communications, event management, or a related field. Knowledge of politics and international relations a plus.Knowledge of the cultural and social scene in New York, such as museums, restaurants, member clubs, events, etc.A proactive and energetic demeanor with a "customer-first" attitude. Must be adaptable, able to pivot quickly with changing priorities, and have a good sense of humor. A high level of discretion and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Strong written and oral communication skills with an eye for detail. Experience researching using open-source materials is a plus. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Understanding and experience using different social media platforms.Knowledge of technology and ability to troubleshoot issues on digital devices.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, productivity tools, and creative software.College degree required.Pay & Benefits: Compensation for this full-time role is $60,000 annually, plus overtime to start. This is a temp to perm position with a 90-day evaluation period. We are seeking someone comfortable with committing for at least one year.Starting benefits include 10 days of paid time off, sick days, and national holidays.Start dateMarch 2025 Location: In-person role in midtown Manhattan.Days/HoursFull-time, Monday to Friday, from 10:00am-6:00pm, including some evenings and weekend events.
