Financial Services Associate (3rd to 8th year post-JD)Salary/Package: $220,000 - $340,000 base salary + discretionary bonus + comprehensive benefitsBillable Hours: 1,900Job Description:A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced transactional finance attorney to join its growing Financial Services practice in Charlotte. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with 3 to 8 years of experience in commercial lending and finance to work on sophisticated finance transactions in a collaborative and dynamic environment.The team represents financial institutions, lenders, and borrowers in a variety of complex financing arrangements, with a focus on syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions. The firm offers top-tier professional development, mentorship, and a collegial in-office culture.If you have a strong academic background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for finance and transactional law, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career at a leading firm with a national presence.Key Responsibilities:Represent lenders and borrowers in complex commercial lending transactions, including syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance deals.Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, security agreements, and related finance documentation.Conduct due diligence on financial transactions, collateral, and corporate matters.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to structure and execute transactions efficiently.Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory developments in the finance sector.Job Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent.3 to 8 years of experience in commercial lending, syndicated credit facilities, or leveraged finance transactions.Experience in drafting and negotiating complex finance documents.Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred, but candidates eligible for waiver or willing to take the North Carolina Bar exam are encouraged to apply.Strong academic performance, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience at an AM200 law firm is a plus but not required.
