Required Skills & Experience•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. • Active CPA license is required. • 4 to 8 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public and private experience. • Previous experience in external reporting for a large accelerated filer registrant is preferred. • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and FASB technical pronouncements. • Hybrid working environment; required to be in our New York City office two to three times a week.Nice to Have Skills & Experience• Experience with Workiva and SAP is preferred.Job DescriptionInsight Global is actively hiring for an External Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager. The Manager - External Reporting and Technical Accounting is a pivotal role within Corporate Accounting Group. This position ensures the accuracy of the Company's periodic SEC filings, including quarterly and annual reports (10-Q and 10-K), and other external financial reporting requirements. The role also ensures compliance with US GAAP and provides technical accounting support, including research and memo preparation, while liaising with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation and review of the company's quarterly and annual SEC filings, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, accounting standards, and disclosure requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, legal, and treasury, to gather and analyze financial and non-financial data for SEC filings. • Lead specific technical projects such as divestiture accounting, stock-based compensation, revenue recognition, lease activity, and the adoption of new accounting pronouncements. • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant accounting standards, SEC regulations, and industry best practices related to external reporting. • Manage the external reporting process, including timelines, review cycles, and coordination with external auditors. • Utilize Workiva and other tools to streamline the SEC reporting process, enhancing efficiency and accuracy. • Maintain and update accounting policies, and educate business units on these policies as needed. • Prepare and review corporate journal entries related to technical accounting topics.Compensation:$120-150KExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
