KCP Associates are courageous thought-leaders who are relentless in their pursuit of excellence.OVERVIEWThe Design Director for the Kenneth Cole brand will join our dynamic creative team to work on advertising campaigns, marketing materials, packaging, logos, and branding initiatives. This role requires a strong design sensibility, typography skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to bring concepts to life across print, digital, and retail. The ideal candidate is a talented designer with the ability to think strategically, refine creative, and see projects from concept to final production. This includes but is not limited toCollaborate, design, and execute ad campaigns and seasonal collection launches, including research, concept presentation, model casting input, and concept mock-ups.Work closely with the Creative Director and Sr. Art Director to develop and refine concepts that align with brand strategy.Oversee the design and layout of key marketing materials, including in-store signage, presentations, packaging, and digital assets.Ensure a high level of craft and execution across all creative assets, from initial layouts to final mechanicals.Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure creative execution meets brand standards, timelines, and production specifications.Provide art direction for retouching and post-production, reviewing rounds to ensure the highest quality final assets.Oversee the development of packaging concepts, from mockups and renderings to final files, ensuring functionality and brand consistency.Develop logos and brand identity assets as needed, ensuring a cohesive visual language across all platforms.Collaborate on video and digital creative development, assisting with storyboards, motion graphics direction, and visual treatments.REPORTING STRUCTUREThis position reports directly to:Creative DirectorEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Candidate must have strong POV and knowledge of creative talent, agencies, fashion brands and other designers.Candidate must have a keen eye for clean design and execute tactical direction both flawlessly and efficiently.Candidate should have strong workflow management and communication skills as well as demonstrated success collaborating with multi-functional teams.Candidate must have a full understanding of the creative, photographic and digital processes as they relate to photo shoot and video production.Candidate should have the ability to think conceptually and design aesthetically, translating creative direction into visual references.Candidate should have working knowledge pertaining to location and studio scouting as well as industry resources.Candidate must have a working understanding of both digital and print advertising in all facets and stages of development.Candidate must work collaboratively and constructively on each project with others on the team as well as identify team members' training and development needs and enable them to excel in growth areas.Candidate must be proficient in Adobe Suite.Candidate must have strong type and layout skills.Ideal candidate possesses a background with experience pertaining to packaging development.ADDITIONAL SKILLS:Must be able to manage multiple complex projects on time and on budget.Must be experienced in working with budgets ranging from $5K-500K.Must be diligent with regard to obtaining approvals.Must have ability to self manage projects and work within established deadlines.Should have basic knowledge of post-production and retouching processes.Must be team oriented, self motivated, and an exceptional communicator.Must have a desire to learn and an extremely strong sense of urgency and responsibility.Must be skilled at working in an extremely fast paced environment.Fashion advertising background is a big plus as well as marketing experience with in-store, digital/web and consumer facing multi-media.EDUCATION REQUIMENTS:Must have a 4-year degree in the field of Advertising/Marketing, Arts, Fashion, Design, Photography and/or equivalent professional experience.This role follows a hybrid structure, with 3 days spent on-site and 2 days working remotely. The final offer may vary and will be determined by candidate profile and ideal qualifications.
