Licensing Specialist

The Licensing Specialistwill be responsible for assisting with the licensing and regulatory compliance of the internal business entities that support the domestic insurance business.Essential Job FunctionsPrepare and submit initial applications and renewal filings for business entity licenses Liaise with internal contacts and insurance regulators Coordinate timely licensing and regulatory solutions to support new business initiativesMaintain up-to-date officer and director, contact information, and affiliation recordsManage reference and regulatory filing materialsUnderstand and implement processes prescribed by various insurance regulatorsField licensing inquiries related to business entitiesRequest and reconcile payments to vendors and insurance regulators Gather licensing and compliance information through researchComplete special projects and assignments as neededRequirementsBachelor's degree2 years of related law firm or in-house experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and ExcelAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlinesStrong organizational and writing skillsStrong interpersonal and critical thinking skillsParalegal certification preferredInsurance industry experience idealProperty & casualty insurance licensing experience in multiple jurisdictions a plus
