Internal Communication Specialist

My well known national bank client is looking for a contract Internal Communications Specialist- 40 hours a week, $40/hr, April 2025-April 2026 (one year contract!), hybrid out of McLean VA office. My client, a top bank, is seeking a senior communications specialist for their Global Workplace Services. Were looking for someone who can help to execute a clear,robust drumbeat of communications for employees in ourGlobal Workplace Services organization. The Sr. Communications Specialist role is responsible fordelivering internal communications that help employeesunderstand what's going on in the organization, with a focus on storytelling and engagement.RESPONSIBILITIES:Independently writes and delivers internal communications that educate, inform and connect with employeesBrings the GWS culture to life through creative storytelling including articles and digital/video storytelling (in partnership with creative team)Develops communications touchpoints and key messaging that help to lead employees through changeContributes to editorial calendar, balancing inputs from multiple teams and identifying potential conflictsEvaluates performance for communications based on metrics and other leading key performance indicatorsREQUIREMENTSOutstanding writing and story-telling skills with sound editorial judgmentExperience with project managementThe ability to distill complex content into clear, concise and engaging communicationsProficient at creating communication cascades within matrixed organizationsStrong time management and organizational skills, with an ability to consistently execute multiple, and sometimes competing, activities and complex projects to high quality conclusion on-timeBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree or military experienceAt least 5 years of experience as a communications specialistPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBA in communications, marketing, English or journalismAt least 1 year of experience in financial services, technology or other highly regulated industryMust sit onsite in McLean, VA hybridBENEFIT OFFERINGS:Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
