Position Overview: Join an innovative shoes and clothing manufacturing company as a Safety Specialist, where growth, workforce relations, fashion, and comfort are key. We seek an experienced Safety Specialist to support the implementation, administration, and daily monitoring of safety programs, policies, and procedures at our US Distribution Center. This role requires expertise in Cal/OSHA guidelines and relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and confidentiality are essential.Location: Moreno Valley, CAResponsibilities:Inspect procedures, facilities, and equipment to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; perform hazard analysis and abatement reviews.Develop strategies and solutions to reduce recognized hazards and exposure for the Distribution Center workforce.Train, develop, and educate the workforce on safe work practices, regulatory safety requirements, and company standard operating procedures.Investigate injuries and accidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop countermeasures to prevent future occurrences.Manage safety record-keeping requirements, including OSHA logs, safety and compliance training, health and safety committee meetings, etc.Communicate with all levels of the workforce on safety program updates, training topics, hazard reduction strategies, and incidents affecting the Distribution Center workforce.Qualifications:Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA guidelines and other relevant regulations.Proven ability to drive change through accomplishments.Excellent time management and training experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from groups of 500-700 people.Requirements:3+ years of relevant Occupational Health and Safety experience in a Distribution Center, manufacturing, or industrial warehouse environment.Proficiency with necessary computer skills to generate job-related deliverables, such as investigation data, safety reports, presentations, etc.CPR, First Aid, AED certification preferred.Forklift and powered equipment experience preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Safety Management, or related field preferred; in lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a similar industry required.Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed to meet business demands.
