The staff includes approximately 60 full-time employees, and PIDC's current 12-member senior leadership team has a combined 150+ years of experience at PIDC. The organization's annual budget of approximately $12M is funded by a combination from fees generated by PIDC's transaction activities, service and management contracts, and contributed revenue.Over the past 65+ years, PIDC has settled over 13,500 transactions with a diverse range of clients "” including nearly $21 billion of financing and 3,400+ acres of land sales "” which have leveraged tens of billions of dollars in total investment and assisted in retaining and creating hundreds of thousands of jobs in Philadelphia. POSITION OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:PIDC's Legal Services Group provides legal services for the company, including negotiating, documenting and closing financing and real estate transactions, overseeing litigation matters, and managing outside counsel. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Ensuring compliance in federal, state, and local and government contracts, as well as compliance with Red Flag Rules, Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering, and internal policies;Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting contracts, including operating contracts as well as federal, state and local government contracts;Drafting loan documents and completing closings with a diverse client base, including small businesses, contractors, and developers;Prepare leases, agreements of sale, deeds, and other real estate documents;Supporting the corporate functions of PIDC; andProviding any other legal work for the company as directed by General Counsel.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and Pennsylvania Bar membership;Combination of 5 or more years of education and legal or other experience required to effectively perform the functions of this position;Must be detail-oriented, organized and have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team; Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; andMust be a resident of the City of Philadelphia or willing to relocate within 6 months of hire.
