Trading & Operations AssociateTorray Investment Partners is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who wants to expand their capabilities in the investment management industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a boutique investment manager and gain experience in all aspects of the business by working directly with senior members of the firm. The candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in the industry, with knowledge of equity investing and mutual funds. This is an in-person position, with key responsibilities as follows:Execute trades as ordered by Portfolio Managers and provide post-trade support to ensure correct and prompt settlementCoordinate and prepare for the firm's quarterly Best Execution meetings Maintain model and target portfolios for the firm's four investment strategies Conduct weekly portfolio holding dispersion analysis and monitor non-model holdingsMonitor portfolio cash balances and realized gain levelsMaintain Focus Lists and report on non-model holdings at weekly investment meetingsReview annual proxy vote materials and make recommendations to Portfolio ManagersTake weekly investment meeting minutesAssist in the monthly and quarterly client reporting processAssist in preparation of materials for client and prospective client presentationsPreferred SkillsetProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and OutlookKnowledge of FactSet, Advent Axys, Advent MoxyKnowledge of custodial platforms such as Schwab and FidelityTorray LLC is a long-only, investment management firm based in Bethesda, Maryland.
