To achieve that we look for fantastic people with spectacular skills and great personalities!Position Overview:At Armada Design & Build, our Designers conceptualize, plan and execute residential design projects. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, preference, and budgets, and then translating those into functional and aesthetically pleasing residential environments. This position is ideal for a designer with a solid foundation in residential interiors and exteriors who is looking to take on more complex projects and grow their career in a dynamic and creative environment.Armada Designers are experienced professionals with great personal skills and meticulous understanding of residential construction design projects. Attention to detail, thorough organization, and great communication are all critical skills in this position. Optimal candidates will be able to communicate effectively with all parties engaged in a residential design build project, create and manage schedules, and work effectively within time and resource budgets.Key Responsibilities:Design Development:Site measurement and production of accurate as-built drawings.Create detailed design plans, elevations, detail and sections, and electrical plan for residential projects.Develop 3D renderings and visualizations to communicate design concepts effectively.Select appropriate materials, finishes, and fixtures that align with design goals and budget.Create material specification documents.Client Interaction:Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget.Present design proposals and make adjustments based on client feedback.Provide expert advice on design trends, space utilization, and aesthetic choices.Communicate with them through in both verbal and written communication effectively.Internal Interaction:Work closely with project consultants, junior designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure cohesive project execution.Serve as an effective mentor for less experienced designers.Project Management:Collaborate with architects, engineers, and outside specialists to ensure designs are feasible and meet all regulatory requirements.Define the scope, objectives and deliverables of the project and develop a detailed project timeline.Oversee the procurement of materials.Monitor and manage the progress of the project to ensure it stays on schedule.Oversee the design implementation process and address any issues that arise during construction.Quality Control:Ensure the design and construction drawings meet our company standards and maintain accuracy.Verify that design projects adhere to quality standards and project specifications during the construction.Responsible for ensuring the precision of material specifications details.Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design accuracy during the construction.Administrative Duties:Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and documentation.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for materials and furnishings.Report weekly basis time sheet for each project.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.Proven experience in residential design and project management.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, BIM, and Adobe Creative Suite.Strong portfolio showcasing a range of residential design projects.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of building materials, built-in specifications, building codes, regulations, and construction practices.Skill to manage multiple, varied projects across different phases.Ability to travel with a valid drivers' license and reliable vehicle.
