With over 300 years of combined experience, our long-standing brands of Arpac, Fischbein, Hamer and Ohlson serve end customers in the consumer-packaged goods, food and beverage, industrial, and other markets.Position OverviewThe Buyer I is responsible for procuring materials, parts, components, assemblies, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies to support Production and Aftermarket business operations. The Buyer manages the purchasing process from quoting to delivery, ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules while maintaining strong supplier relationships and cost efficiency.Essential ResponsibilitiesIssue purchase orders (POs) and send order confirmations to suppliers.Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.Verify and confirm pricing and lead times.Expedite orders as needed to meet production requirements.Resolve invoicing discrepancies in collaboration with Accounting.Manage past due purchase orders and ensure timely resolution to meet departmental goals.Monitor and provide feedback on supplier performance, including delivery, quality, pricing, and responsiveness.Process supplier quality returns in a timely and efficient manner.Communicate schedule changes to Operations, Sales, and Lifecycle Services teams.Collaborate with internal teams, including Shipping, Stockroom, Accounting, Production, and Planning, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.Report Bill of Material discrepancies to Engineering and inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.Participate in cross-functional projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.Position RequirementsAssociate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.1-2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with ERP systems.Basic to intermediate Excel skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to resolving issues.nVenia is committed to a culture that promotes long term career satisfaction and provides an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
