Career Opportunity: Director of Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance (Direct Hire) Are you a seasoned finance professional with expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and team leadership? A dynamic organization is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance to lead key financial operations in a full-time, onsite role based in Hollywood, CA.Key Responsibilities:Financial Consolidation & ReportingOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation for global entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable frameworks.Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, working closely with local accounting teams on intercompany bookkeeping and reconciliation.Audit ManagementAct as the primary liaison with external auditors, leading annual audits and ensuring compliance with all domestic obligations.Tax Compliance & StrategyManage global tax risk, oversee tax reporting and compliance, and supervise tax provisions across multiple countries.Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on tax audits, controversies, transfer pricing studies, and inter-company transactions.Drive tax-related initiatives to optimize processes and minimize tax burdens while ensuring compliance.Team Leadership & Internal ControlsLead and mentor accounting teams, fostering a high-performance culture and championing process automation.Own the internal control system, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards while mitigating potential risks.Strategic PartnershipSupport the CFO in preparing financial documentation for key stakeholders.Collaborate across departments to align processes with business objectives and drive best-in-class financial practices.Key Requirements: ? 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, and tax preparation. ? Extensive experience with multi-entity global consolidations ideally in a CPG company. ? Exceptional technical expertise in financial consolidation, accounting standards, and tax compliance. ? Big 4 or similar firm experience is a strong plus. ? Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros); familiarity with NetSuite is a plus. ?
