This key role will involve overseeing all aspects of land development projects, throughout the life of the project, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, budget management, and timely completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, is self motivated and independent, has a keen eye for detail, and a passion for transforming land into successful, sustainable developments.Key Responsibilities:Project OversightLead and manage land development projects, from initial feasibility studies to project completion.Land Acquisition & Due DiligenceCollaborate with the acquisitions team to identify, assess, and secure new land opportunities. Conduct due diligence, including environmental and zoning assessments.Design & PlanningWork with contractors to develop land plans, including zoning, site plans, utilities, roadways, and landscaping.Permitting & ComplianceManage the permitting process and ensure all development activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Budget & Cost ManagementDevelop and manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure that projects stay within budget while meeting quality and timeline expectations.Stakeholder CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for internal teams, government agencies, contractors, and external stakeholders.Risk ManagementIdentify and mitigate potential risks throughout the development process.Project SchedulingCoordinate timelines for all stages of development, ensuring project milestones are met on time.Sustainability & Environmental ConsiderationsEnsure that all projects adhere to sustainability and environmental standards where applicable.Qualifications:ExperienceMinimum of 2-5 years of experience in land development or real estate development.KnowledgeStrong understanding of zoning laws, land use regulations, permitting processes, and project management principles.SkillsProficiency in project management, self-reliance, and Microsoft Office Suite.LeadershipStrong leadership, communication, and team management skills.Problem-SolvingExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Attention to DetailAbility to review complex plans and documents for compliance and accuracy.
