Operations ManagerBlue Island, IL 60406FLSA: Exempt - This is an At Will positionDepartment: ReconstructionReports To: General ManagerJOB SUMMARY:The Reconstruction Operations Manager oversees all aspects of Sales, Estimating, and Production for all projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining optimal profitability. This leadership role requires a motivated professional to drive operational excellence, ensure customer satisfaction, and contribute to the company's successKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage and train Estimators in scoping, estimate writing, timely deliveries and profitable project executionManage and train Project Managers (PMs) in sales strategies, scoping, estimate writing, budgeting, and profitable project execution through team leadershipManage and train Superintendents in project scheduling, budgeting and profitable project executionEnsure sales volumes are met or exceededEnsure profitability by monitoring job costs, budgets, and cash flow through timely collectionsOversee cash flow management, including collections and A/R policiesOversee job costs, and payment terms for subcontractors and vendorsDelegate duties, review performance, and hold staff accountable to company standardsProvide timely reports and updates to the GM, including budget changes and Weekly Production Recap reportsCompare budgets with actual performance, conduct monthly reviews, and assist in preparing the annual budget with the GM and ControllerCollaborate with clients, employees, and the GM to achieve individual and branch sales goalsProvide coaching, training, and development to employees for short- and long-term successRecognize and celebrate employee achievements while addressing performance issues through corrective action plans as neededDevelop, implement, and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and industry regulationsEnsure customer service excellence, quick response to inquiries, and timely submission of estimatesOversee and assist in project management as needed, including site visits and quality controlManage subcontractor relationships, including pricing, quality assessments, and inspectionsSupport business development and marketing efforts, ensuring staff engagement in marketing activitiesFoster a positive company image among staff and customersImplement the company vision, mission, and operational goalsEnforce safety regulations, conduct safety training, and ensure compliance with OSHA standardsConduct employee evaluations and development plans for career growthLead by example, mentoring and motivating staff for superior performanceOther duties as assignedREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Strong knowledge of budgets, cash flows, collections, and business planningUnderstanding of restoration programs, industry best practices, and client relationsExpertise in marketing and sales strategies to generate and retain businessProficiency with industry software such as Xactimate, Xactanalysis, PSA, JOC Analytics, and Microsoft 365Proficiency with industry TPA's such as Contractor Connection, Alacrity, Sedgwick and Code BlueStrong leadership and crisis management skillsAbility to delegate tasks effectively and lead teams toward successProblem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving operationsAvailability for on-call and emergency response situationsAbility to work in both office and field environmentsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 5 years in construction or property restoration, with at least 3 years in a managerial roleExperience with insurance carriers and claims handlingIndustry certifications (IICRC, OSHA, PMP) preferredValid driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites as neededWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work is performed in office and field settings, requiring job site visitsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and navigate active construction sitesAvailability for after-hours responsibilities as neededLICENSES:Valid State driver's licenseEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER/AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMPLIANT/DRUG FREE WORKPLACEreq25-00217
