This is a short term, 60-90 day role in Coppell, TX. This position will be on day shift. The Route Planner will be responsible for driving continuous route optimization for our clients branches of operation around the country. Key Responsibilities:The Route Planner is responsible for planning up to 1500 routes a week. The routes are optimized paths for our clients messengers to deliver cash and/or other valuables to customers around the country based on their specific service contracts. This role will report to the Planning & Scheduling Leader - it is based in Coppell, TX. The Route Planner will be responsible for driving continuous route optimization for our clients branches of operation around the country. The Route Planner will own end-to-end relationships with branches, customers, and internal leaders across their region. Work with schedulers and IT teams to develop and continuously improve the route optimization process.Support the core team in identifying route optimization protocols and other issues to be addressed.Drive continuous improvement in regional optimization through deep end-to-end understanding of regions serviced.Define KPIs and design dashboards to track them throughout the projectHelp fix inaccurate customer information (e.g., service windows, location)Set up the processes to update the route planning dashboards on a weekly basisEnsure route efficiency through appropriate interaction with market employees and route analysisLeverage systems, equipment and process redesign to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and efficiencyMaintain and provide quality customer serviceMaintain positive Employee Relations and work environment, while creating a cooperative team atmosphere of employee engagement Maintain the highest level of integrity, dignity and standards both on an internal and external basis; maintain high ethical standards and protect the Brink's reputation by delivering high quality, reliable programs and services which meet customer expectationsMinimum Qualifications:Knowledge of route analysis and logisticsKnowledge in supply chain analyticsStrong consultative, analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skillsSalesforce experience preferred.Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
