Biomedical Technician

Job DescriptionThe following Position Summary is intended as an overview of the experienced Biomed Technician duties- not inclusive of all job-related responsibilities: This position provides and documents, under supervision, preventive, predictive, metered, interval-based and corrective maintenance on biomedical equipment for the hospital. Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and electrical safety tests of biomedical equipment to maintain code compliance. Technician is responsible for documenting the results of all inspections, maintenance, and tests. Other duties and projects assigned by Leadership. Education & Experience1+ years of formal training, or education, beyond high school- in the service and maintenance of biomedical equipment; may include military training on electronics or medical equipment.Healthcare/Hospital experience requiredRecent previous experience in a healthcare BioMed/Clinical Engineering environment is requiredAdditional Requirements The selected Candidate will be expected to successfully fulfill the following pre-employment requirements, if offered position:Criminal Background CheckDrug ScreenHospital health screenings, and any required immunizations/vaccines (TB testing, Flu vaccine, etc.Clear Motor Vehicle Report (no more than 3 moving violations within past 3 yearsCompetitive compensation based on relevant skills & years of experience!Potential for modest relocation assistance for this position, as well.Technician MUST possess a clean driving record; this will be validated via MV search.Technician position level I or IIHealthcare experience is preferredTechnician's Shift/Schedule: Ideally 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday, unless workload/demands require otherwise; occasional weekend work required as neededOn-call availability is required for this role.
