Sartiano's was created by prominent lifestyle architect, Scott Sartiano, with culinary direction from three-time James Beard award winner Chef Alfred Portale.The Cuisine:Alfred Portale will lead the culinary direction as the Chef managing Partner. The uniquely crafted menu hones in on a specialty to set the tone for the fine dining experience. Building off the foundation of offering specialized meats, Sartiano's establishes itself as an authentic Italian restaurant.The Role:The role of Assistant General Manager consists of but is not limited to: overseeing the staff and overall Food and Beverage operations of the club, identifying business opportunities scheduling employees, monitoring the performance of the service team, managing complaints, and ensuring the best service for our guests. A Sartiano's Assistant General Manager will be a clear leader and display a cheerful disposition and passion for his/her role. They must maintain a high level of integrity and be relied upon to complete tasks consistently. They are also expected to adapt to difficult situations, solve problems and make decisions when necessary.Responsibilities:Uphold Sartiano's values and mission statement while performing positional responsibilities and adhering to company policies and procedures, as stated in the Employee HandbookMonitors all Food & Beverage operations to ensure that company standards are maintained for service and food knowledge.Assists in training and evaluating all FOH personnel and enforces food and beverage policies and proceduresDynamic, high energy but polished presence on the floorAbility to adapt to and abide by the culture of the companyExcellent ability to multitask in high-pressure situationsEnsures DOH compliance throughout the restaurantPromotes positive guest/employee relations at all timesMaintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibilityEnsure the highest levels of organization are maintained throughout all FOH/BOH operationsProtect the privacy and confidentialit6y of Zero Bond membersQualifications & Disposition:3-years experience in a related positionStrong knowledge of NY sanitation regulations and food handlingIndividual must possess a good work history and stabilityProficient in all aspects of bar service with great attention to detailKnowledge of food and beverage as well as a passion to cultivate this skillStrong knowledge of classic cocktails and spirit categoriesWorking knowledge of wine, comfortable speaking on selectionsAbility to inspire staff to achieve their potentialFlexible in scheduling and able to work extended hoursStrong financial acumen and strategic planning
