Job Title: Plastic WelderLocation: Chandler, AZDuration: 6+ months extendable contractDay shift - 6 am - 6 pm PSTSunday through Tuesday every week and every other Wednesday / Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday.Description:The Plastic Welder specializes in joining and repairing plastic components using heat and pressure working with hand-welding machinery. Responsibilities encompass reading blueprints, selecting appropriate welding equipment, and ensuring high-quality, durable welds.Responsibilities:Perform Plastic welding according to established procedures and safety guidelinesOperate and maintain welding equipment to ensure efficient and effective performanceInspect and examine welds to ensure that they meet quality standards and project specificationsRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine weldingrequirementsCollaborate with other team members to plan and coordinate welding projectsPerform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure its longevity and optimalperformanceMaintain a safe and clean work environmentQualificationsKnowledge and experience in plastic welding techniques, equipment, and toolsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsPhysical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise and accurate weldingAttention to detail and quality control to ensure finished products meet standardsFlexibility to work in various environments and with different types of plasticsGood communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other welders and supervisorsGood math skillsExperience using grinders, saws all, drills and Dremel toolsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsCapable of standing for long periods of timeAbility to read, write, and speak English
