Join us!Purpose of Job:The Supplier Quality & Warranty Program Analyst is responsible for the assessment, analysis, and management of supplier quality and warranty issues at Interstate. This role involves making data-driven recommendations and decisions to support the Supplier Quality and Warranty Team.Job Components:Serve as the primary resource for warranty program implementation, assisting internal teams"”including Reliability, Procurement, Product Development, National Accounts, Operations, and Marketing"”with warranty-related issues.Collect and analyze warranty data to establish analytics that drive cross-functional business decisions and predict warranty rates.Develop analytical models to estimate, forecast, and maintain appropriate warranty reserves in collaboration with Operations and Finance.Create, document, and manage warranty processes and procedures, as well as oversee ongoing warranty claims.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in meetings with customers and suppliers.Engage directly with Laboratory and Technical Services to address product failure rates and performance issues.Identify key warranty metrics and monitor performance trends.Design and develop a comprehensive warranty reporting system using PowerBI.Drive strategic and tactical initiatives to reduce warranty rates across the supplier base.Identify and communicate warranty improvement opportunities with both customers and suppliers.Apply statistical predictive modeling techniques such as regression analysis, multivariate analysis, forecasting, and warranty modeling.Develop and analyze reports, respond to inquiries, and support business strategies and initiatives by extracting and presenting data in a concise manner.Process regularly occurring credits and credit requests.Provide regular status updates on projects and initiatives that support customer and organizational goals.Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on warranty matters for organizational projects and initiatives.Independently produce end-user documentation and training materials.Execute additional Supplier Quality (SQ) projects as needed.Qualifications:Minimum of 4 years of working experience in a role of similar responsibility/scope. Proven experience in analytics, forecasting, and modeling for warranty, or similar required.Familiarity with the tools, methodologies, and disciplines of a Lean Six Sigma environment.Understanding of supplier quality management principles and industry best practices.Ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively under minimal supervision.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and negotiation abilities.Strong analytical and statistical skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macro development and utilization.Experience in PowerBI report generation.Database development experience (e.g., SQL Server or similar platforms) preferred.Experience with Automotive Tier I Warranty Analysis preferred.Familiarity with data mining and artificial intelligence concepts is preferred.Alignment with Interstate's Purpose and Values.Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, Master's degree preferred.Six Sigma Certification preferred.APICS Supply Chain Certification preferred.Scope Data:Collaborate with various levels of the organization to execute key responsibilities.Interact with suppliers to fulfill job requirements.Serve as the subject matter expert on Supplier Quality and Warranty processes.Handle highly sensitive data, including confidential company information and proprietary data from external partners.Work Environment:The role requires a high level of energy, with the ability to frequently move between tasks or remain seated for extended periods.Regular physical activity includes manual handling, verbal communication, and auditory tasks.Specific vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Occasional lifting and/or moving of items weighing 50+ lbs may be required.May be exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.Note: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.Interstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
