We are a small but mighty team that works in a family-oriented work environment. About the RoleThe Estimator will gather information, use blueprints, create proposals, and important documents to provide clear and transparent estimates. The estimator will build strong and interpersonal relationships with our staff and customers to successfully carry out projects. The estimator will analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity by organization, project objectives, and guidelines.Electrical EstimatorCompensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Bonus potential Health, Dental, and Vision insurance package 401K - 3% Employer Match Sick and Vacation pay.Salary (80K-120K/yr )Responsibilities include but are not limited toDuties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimatesExperience in commercial projects and industrial projects.Attend pre-bid meetings and/or tour job sites Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including information on pricing from suppliers obtained through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, software uploads, etc.Work together with customers and project managers to understand the project, scope of work, and timeline, while building strong relationships for continued excellent customer service. Must be able to determine the amount, type, and cost of materials needed for each project. Support other department personnel as required; may include assisting with estimates in other disciplinesMust be willing to train apprentice estimator and work well in a small teamMay review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, and/or availability of materialsProvide support to field operations regarding electrical projectsPerform additional assignments per Owner's directionSupervisory experience in the field directing a teamSupplemental pay typesBonus payRequirementsFamiliarity with estimating softwares like Trimble MEP, Excel. TradeservicesMinimum of 5 years of experience in the Electrical fieldMinimum of 3 years as an Electrical Estimator Working knowledge of electrical installation, estimating techniques, and cost controlAbility to interpret computerized cost data and systemsAbility to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlinesPrevious management or supervisory experienceCommercial and Industrial experience is necessary. What are we looking for in an ideal candidate?-Project coordination experience preferred. Administrative experience preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong work ethic.Intrapersonal and communication skills. Open to learning. 'Willing to learn.'Adaptable to assuming different duties.Ability to work in a small company environment. An individual who is not afraid to ask for help when needed. Detail-oriented, sufficient to be able to organize and work on various projects at a timeMust be able to work onsite Academic knowledge in construction or relation field.
