Payroll SpecialistLocation: West Denver / Lakewood (Near Sheridan Area)On-SitePosition Overview: Our client, a well-established national electrical construction company in operation since the early 2000s, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for managing payroll-related tasks with a strong emphasis on Davis-Bacon and certified payroll complianceKey Responsibilities:Handle pre-time processing for weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance before final submissionCalculate hourly rates to ensure compliance with wage requirementsManage required forms and documentationReview and verify subcontractor payroll submissionsPrepare and submit weekly filings in accordance with regulationsUtilize the LCP tracker portal for accurate reporting and record-keepingPrepare and submit required documentation for NREL projects, ensuring compliance with project-specific requirementsOversee OA Certificates and manage apprentice agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standardsManage new hire setupProcess rate changes in compliance with company policiesManage PTO accrual adjustments based on employee eligibilityUpdate benefit changes to reflect employee selections and modificationsQualifications:Prior experience with Davis-Bacon and Certified Payroll compliance5+ years of in-house, full-cycle payroll experienceExperience in construction payrollFamiliarity with Spectrum and UKG softwareIn-depth understanding of U.S. payroll and tax processes requiredKnowledge of payroll laws and regulationsMust successfully pass a background check and drug test, including screening for cannabis and THC
