We are looking for someone that has experience as a Buyer's Assistant or Allocation and/or Planning in a RETAIL/Merchandising environment.Enjoy working at our South Corporate office located at 1800 Innovation Point, 5th Floor, Fort Mill, SC. Primary office hours are 8:00am-5:00pm with the option to work offsite on Friday. This role is the second step on our career path to Product Location Merchandiser, Associate Buyer and Buyer. Starting salary: $50,000. Commensurate with experience.Summary:Your job as an Allocation Analyst will be to monitor and maintain a suitable amount of merchandise available for customers to purchase in each store. Although your day-to-day is more about planning the products for the stores in an assigned category, you would still have daily interaction with the buying team to understand strategy. Duties include:Manages all product fill in order.Reviews store distributions prior to purchase order arrival at the Distribution Center and ensures final release is complete.Manages all product in the Distribution Center via model stock system.Maintains model stock set-up.Replenishes the stores from the Distribution Center (Picks) and manage the warehouse inventory list.Maintains the new store matrix tracking matrix and ensures product is distributed.Confirms store inventory coverage and timeliness for ad styles.Prioritizes ad purchase orders and reviews freight lists ensuring all incoming pre-distribute purchase order distributions are correctMaintains store capacities.Uses skills and available technology to analyze and maintain correct in store size structures.Analyzes and reacts to product trends for each store.Builds and executes quarterly strategy for opportunity stores.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.2+ years' experience in retail Allocation and/or Planning preferred.Working knowledge of retail systems, terms, and calculations (e.g., gross margins, open to buy, inventory turn, GMROI, etc.).Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel experience required.Strong computer skills including a proven ability to create and maintain complex analytic reports.Excellent verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas.Ability to create and present presentations to Corporate and Store management.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships.Strong attention to detail and excellent time management and organization skills with a proven ability to multi-task and prioritize.Good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.Highly flexible and adapts well to a rapidly changing environment.Total Rewards:The Shoe Carnival, Inc.
