While our U.S. manufacturing plant is just a couple of years away from becoming operational, we rely on outsourced manufacturing facilities across Asia, South, and Central America to meet demand. We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to manage outsourcing operations, logistics, warehousing, and delivery across all product categories.Mission of the RoleEstablish and manage a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective outsourcing operation for flexible films, molded fiber, and other product categories, ensuring high quality and timely delivery to meet growing market demands.Key ResponsibilitiesOutsourcing and Vendor Management:Identify, evaluate, and onboard outsourcing partners across Asia, South, and Central America.Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to secure cost-effective and scalable production.Develop strong partnerships with vendors to ensure consistent quality and delivery.Import and Export Logistics:Manage all aspects of importing outsourced products, ensuring compliance with U.S. customs regulations.Optimize shipping routes and schedules to minimize costs and transit times.Coordinate with logistics providers to streamline inbound and outbound operations.Warehousing and Distribution:Establish warehousing solutions to meet inventory and distribution requirements.Manage domestic logistics, including last-mile delivery, to ensure on-time customer shipments.Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.Quality Assurance:Implement QA processes to monitor and maintain product quality at outsourced facilities.Conduct vendor audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards.Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues.Operational Coordination:Align supply chain activities with sales and business goals, ensuring operational efficiency.Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless communication.Support R&D in scaling production of new product grades through outsourced partners.Cost Optimization and Budget Management:Develop cost models to optimize supply chain budgets and improve profitability.Identify opportunities for cost savings in outsourcing, logistics, and warehousing.Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgets.Risk Management:Identify potential risks in the outsourcing and supply chain processes, including geopolitical, logistical, and vendor-related challenges.Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity during disruptions.Sustainability Practices:Incorporate sustainable practices across outsourcing and logistics operations.Work with vendors to align with Pakka's commitment to environmentally friendly solutions.Key Outcomes (Year 1-3)Develop and maintain a robust outsourcing network for flexible films and molded fiber products.Establish cost-efficient logistics and warehousing systems to support $700M in sales by Year 3.Ensure consistent quality and on-time delivery for all product lines through effective outsourcing operations.Qualifications and ExperienceEducation:Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.Experience:6-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on outsourcing and international logistics.Proven ability to manage complex supply chains and vendor relationships.Familiarity with U.S. import/export regulations and supply chain dynamics.Skills:Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.Strong analytical skills with expertise in cost optimization and logistics planning.Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities.What We OfferOpportunity to play a critical role in expanding supply chain operations in a growing market.Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.Collaborative and innovative work culture focused on sustainability and growth.
