Director of Laboratory Services

My client is looking for a talented Laboratory Director to join their team! They are dedicated to using recycled materials to create materials used for the roads you drive on!Similar companies reuse only 20% of recycled material, my client uses 60%!Position Summary - The Lab Director is responsible for overseeing all Mix Design, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Research &Development efforts. This position reports to the COO and will also work closely with the Sales Director to support our customers with approved Mix Designs that line up with specifications of each customer's paving job.Quality AssuranceComplete Internal and Regulatory testing on completed Asphalt (some examples /metrics listed below)GradationBinder Content / Performance GradeAir Voids / Moisture / Mix TemperaturePerformance TestingDensity / Compaction / WorkabilityVisit Active job sites to verify qualityVisit completed customer projects to monitor long term quality of Pavement MaterialsResearch & DevelopmentGenerate and Execute research projects to reduce COGS, increase mix quality, increase sustainability, boostrecycled content and help grow new product linesDesired Outputs:Maintain Industry Leading Mix QualityManage portfolio of Mix DesignsManage QA / QCLead targeted R&D efforts (Reduce COGS)Maintain regulatory compliance (DOT / City / EPA)
