Snell is also one of Georgia's largest Bridge Builders and Asphalt Paving contractors. Role DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Safety Director for the Atlanta area. This position consists of daily job inspections on a variety of locations including Bridge, culvert, general construction, asphalt laydown, shops and plant facilities. This job will require working mainly in the corporate office in Snellville with the rest of the time spent working in the field. QualificationsManage a team of Safety ManagersWork closely with the Fleet Safety Director to ensure safe working environment for all team membersExceptional communication and interpersonal skills to promote positive safety culture to multidisciplinary workforce.Knowledge and application of health and safety standards; Aid in company compliance with all local, state and federal regulations such as OSHA, DOT, MSHA and the EPA. Conduct formal investigations on all work-related incidents. Develop root cause analysis of accident causes and how to prevent reoccurrenceAssist HR Manager on worker's compensation claimsAccomplish safety compliance by coordinating, administering and implementing comprehensive training programs in construction, general industry and environmental safety.Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplaceMonitor compliance to company policies and safety standards by inspecting employees, operations, equipment and machinery for possible unsafe conditionsExcellent motivational skillsto help employees maintain high levels of participation and adherence to safety regulations.Outstanding organization and attention to detail Work closely with Project Owners, PM's, Superintendents, and sub-contractors to ensure implementation of safety policiesDevelop and provide technical and administrative direction on all safety and health programs.Educate and train employees on health and safety standards. Including new hire orientation and safety training.Order non-standard or specialized safety equipment needed on the project.Other safety-related duties as may be assigned.
